Central Government Announcements
1.   Ration Card Holders
Food Grains
Q. What is the benefit?
Each family will get an extra 5 kg food grains (rice/wheat) Per person per month for

This is in addition to regular ration, which they will continue to get.

2.   Farmers
PM KISAN

Households with an LPG connection under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
6.   Health Professionals
Accident Insurance
Q. What is the benefit?
Health professionals who meet with an accident while treating Covid-19 patients will
receive 50 lakh as compensation.
Q. Who will benefit?
This covers safai karamcharis, ASHA workers, ward-boys, nurses, paramedics, technicians,
Doctors and specialists working in Central as well as State government health centers,
Wellness centers and hospitals
7.   Women
Jan Dhan Yojana
Q. What is the benefit?
500 per month will be deposited in bank accounts of women for the next three
Months (April to June 2020).

Women with bank accounts under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY)
Credit to Self Help Groups
Q. What is the benefit?
Self Help Groups can borrow loans up to 20 lakhs without any security or asset offered
As collateral, the earlier limit on such loans was 10 Lakh.

Women self-help groups under the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Yojana
8.   Pensioners, Divyang and Widows
Additional Cash Transfer
Q. What is the benefit?
Each beneficiary shall receive 1000 from the Central Government.
This will be given in two installments over the next three months (April - June 2020).

Pensioners, Widows, and Divyang persons receiving assistance from the National Social
Assistance Program (NSAP).
Advance in Social Assistance

Three month’s pension in advance, which will be distributed in April.

9.   Construction Workers
Financial Aid
Q. What is the benefit?
State Governments are directed to use the Building and other Construction Workers
(BCW) cess funds to aid workers in the construction sector.

Construction Workers registered with the BCW.
10.                     Workers in the Organized Sector
EPF Contributions
Q. What is the benefit?
The Government will pay for both the employer and employee contribution to EPF
accounts (total 24%) for the next three months (April-June 2020).
Q. Who will benefit?
Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) subscribers from establishments with:
(i) up to 100 employees, and (ii) 90% employees earning less than Rs 15,000 per month.
EPF Advance
Q. What is the benefit?
EPF holders are allowed to take a non-refundable advance, which can be up to:
(a) 75 % of their EPF balance OR (b) three months of wages,
Whichever is lower, from their EPF accounts.

11.                     Migrant Workers
Relief Camps

More than 21,000 relief camps to be set up by various State Governments and UTs.

Rent Relief

Landlords instructed not to demand rent for one month.
Q. Who will benefit?
Migrant workers living in rented accommodation.
12.                     Urban Homeless
Meals under DAY-NULM (Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihoods Mission)
Q. What is the benefit?
All States/UTs to provide three meals a day, free of cost, in the DAY-NULM shelters.
Q. Who will benefit?
All the urban homeless in DAY-NULM shelters.
