Passport Seva at Khidmat Centre Saaj
The Passport is an important document for individuals who wants to travel abroad for any of the purposes, e.g. for Business Reasons, Tourism, Pilgrimage, Education, Work and Employment Purposes, Medical Treatments, or Family Vacations.
The External Affairs Ministry (MEA), along with CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd. has launched Online Passport Services through a vast network of CSC (Khidmat Centres) across rural locality in India.
In India, there are number of Passport Offices, Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) and about 180 Indian embassies and consulates located abroad.
The Passport issued to an Individual Residents of India is valid for a period of 10 years and for minor applicants, the validity is restricted to five years. Generally Passport in India is issued within 30 to 45 days under Normal Mode, while under the Tatkaal Mode, the passport is issued within 7-14 days.

The POI and POA documents for both Tatkaal and Normal Mode are same. The Police Verification is carried out after the passport appointment both in Normal and Tatkaal Mode.
The Govt. Employees needs to get Prior Intimation Letter and NOC from the controlling authority (DDO) before applying for the passport in order to speed up the whole application process.
The rest of the process is generally alike to the process followed by ordinary individual. After applying for a passport, an individual is required to visit the Passport Seva Kandra (PSK) on the date of appointment to finish the last part of the application process.
Final verification and approval of the passport application takes place at Passport Seva Kendra. There are a few cases where police verification is not required.

The applicant who wishes to avail a passport needs to visit our Khidmat Centre. We at Khidmat Centre Saaj on behalf of an individual files the application online for the Indian Passport through the Passport Seva website The Essential Documents Required for Passport are:

- Identity Card issued by the State or Central Government

- Pension document such as Pension Book or Pension Payment order
- Ex-Servicemen’s Widow/Dependent Certificate
