About Us (Khidmat Centre Saaj)
Khidmat
Centre Saaj is one of the Single Window Delivery Point for various
schemes and service like Banking Services, Insurance Services, Public
Services, Social Welfare Schemes, Health-Care Schemes, Financial Schemes,
Educational Services, and Agriculture Services to citizens in rural and
remote areas of District Rajouri, Tehsil Thanamandi, block Plangarh.
Khidmat
Centre Saaj established in 2009 by J&K Bank under CSC Project.
As a first step, J&K bank has designated Khidmat Centre Saaj as Authorized Loan
Documentation Centers for preparation of legal documents for securing loans,
which became a first revenue generating service. This service is one of the main
sources of income generation for VLE (Khidmat Centre Operator).
The J&K
bank has also approved VLE of Khidmat Centre as Business Correspondent for
utilizing their services under Financial Inclusion Programme. J&K bank for
this purpose has tied up with FINO for providing smart cards to social security
benefit account holders for collecting their payments from Khidmat Centre's Network across the state.
The other
services under this category are advertising and promotional services including
space marketing of J&K Bank, Data Collection Services including Research, Data Entry, Surveys, and Distribution of banking products.
The idea behind
establishing Kidmat Centre's under CSC India Project was to develop a platform that can enable Government,
Private and Social Sector Organizations to integrate their social and
commercial goals for the benefit of rural populations in the remotest corners
through a combination of IT as well as non-IT services.
The main
aim of the scheme is not merely to roll out IT infrastructure but to build a
network of 1000 + rural businesses across the state. To that effect, the Khidmat
Centre Scheme has been designed to create a value proposition for all
stakeholders and alignment of their economic interests.
The Khidmat
Centre Scheme was envisaged to be a bottom-up model for delivery of content,
services, information and knowledge, that can allow like-minded public and
private enterprises - through a collaborative framework - to integrate their
goals of profit as well as social objectives, into a sustainable business model
for achieving rapid socio-economic change in state.
Beyond a bank’s delivery
channel, the Khidmat Centre plays a role of an effective "change
agent" that provides a structured platform for socially inclusive
community participation for collective developmental activities.
