Advisory for Private Schools and Parents of School going Children dated 19/05/2020 Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Directorate of School Education Jammu has issued an advisory for private schools and parents of school going children Due to COVID-19 outbreak, the Jammu and Kashmir administration have ordered to close the educational institutions till May 31 st . All educational institutions have promoted junior school students to the next classes based on their past performance.  On administration's directions  all educational institutions in the UT are running distance classes via whatsapp/video lectures/google classroom etc. in lock down. Usually the admission process starts in April, but due to the closure of institutions it didn't. Now most of the private educational institutions in the UT are now sending the annual fee structure to parents. Khidmat Centre Association Protest enters 70th day Published in:  Daily Excelsior  03/03/2020 The protest of J&K Khidmat Centres Association here today entered day 70 demanding formulation of job policy. In a handout the Association leader Tehseen Hussain said though they are aware of the recent announcement by MoS PMO wherein it was stated that the Government has formulated a plan to address the issue of Khidmat Centre employees, yet, they are not aware of the terms and conditions of that policy. Hussain also appealed to the MoS PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh and Lieutenant Governor (LG) of J&K, G.C Murmu to take the Association on board in finalizing the terms of that policy so that they may not suffer any more.

Addressing the protesters, the Association leader Tehseen Hussain said, in the year 2009 Khidmat Centres were started by J&K Bank with the assurances that these centres will become the centres of participation for the public. He claimed that initially J&K Bank had promised to route G2C (Government to Customer), B2C (Business to Customer) and B2B (Business to Business) services through Khidmat Centres but the same never happened. The protesters said that continuous exploitation and overlooking for almost a decade has compelled the professionals with Khidmat Centres to demand permanent solution for their miseries. Khidmat Centre Staff Seek Job Policy Srinagar, March 4 Published in:   www.tribuneindia.comon 04th of March 2020   Members of the J&K Khidmat Centres Association (JKKCA) staged a protest here on Wednesday demanding formulation of a job policy. “For the past 73 days, we have been protesting in Jammu and demanding formulation of a job policy. Due to security concerns, we are not allowed to protest here (in Srinagar) and have been protesting in Jammu. We have been given many assurances but we need a concrete document,” said JKKCA member Ali Mohammad during a protest at Press Enclave.A press statement of the JKKCA said they had not earned anything for the past seven months and appealed to the administration to officially announce the formulation of a job policy.
